Out of the total number of municipalities, 31 are not members of SICEC, the intermunicipal union. Consequently, residents in these municipalities incur higher costs for the cremation of their deceased loved ones.
For residents in non-SICEC member municipalities, the fees for cremation, scattering of ashes, and the ceremony amount to 975 Euros.
This includes 750 Euros for the cremation, 100 Euros for scattering the ashes, and 125 Euros for the ceremony.
On the other hand, residents in SICEC member municipalities enjoy a reduced bill of 625 Euros, which is 350 Euros less.
This reduced fee for SICEC members includes 500 Euros for the cremation, 50 Euros for scattering the ashes, and 75 Euros for the ceremony.
Moreover, children under< the age of 13 are eligible for a discounted rate, paying only half of the applicable fees.
